A data protection officer has not been appointed because the legal requirements for this are not met.
2. Key points at a glance
- This website does not use cookies and does not employ cookie-based tracking.
- Fonts, images, and scripts are hosted on our own server. When you access a page, your browser does not send any requests to third parties.
- Audience measurement with Plausible works without cookies and without profiles.
- Appointment booking, newsletter signup, and LinkedIn are plain links. These providers receive data only when you click the link.
3. Hosting with Render
The website is hosted by Render: Render Services, Inc., San Francisco, California, USA. When a page is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, referrer (the page visited previously), browser and operating system. This data is used to deliver and secure the website (for example, to defend against attacks) and is stored in server logs only for as long as Render deems necessary for these purposes.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and reliable provision of the website. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Render. The transfer to the United States is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which Render is certified. Render’s privacy notice: render.com/privacy.
4. Fonts and content
The IBM Plex Sans font and all images are hosted on this website's server. No fonts or content are loaded from Google or other providers.
5. Audience measurement with Plausible
To measure visits, I use Plausible Analytics from Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia. Plausible does not use cookies, store anything on your device, or create user profiles. It records the page visited, referrer, country, device type, browser, and operating system. An identifier is generated from the IP address and browser identifier; it changes daily, while the IP address itself is not stored. I only see aggregated results. The data is processed on servers in the EU.
The counting script and the counting requests run through this website’s address and are forwarded to Plausible. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is to analyze website use anonymously and improve content. Since nothing is stored on or read from your device, consent under Section 25 TDDDG is not required. Plausible’s privacy policy: plausible.io/data-policy.
6. Contact by email
If you email me, I process your address and the information you provide to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry concerns a contract; otherwise, it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). I delete the messages once the matter has been resolved and no statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Booking appointments through Google
The “Intro call · 30 min” button takes you to the Google Calendar booking page. You leave this website only when you click it; Google’s terms then apply. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. To book, you enter your name and email address there, which we use to schedule the intro call. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). Google may transfer data to the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
8. Newsletter
Newsletter signup takes place on news.streetsmartcx.com (opens in new tab) , a page hosted by Squarespace (Squarespace Ireland Limited, Le Pole House, Ship Street Great, Dublin 8, Ireland). You enter your email address there; the time of signup and confirmation is also stored. You will receive an email asking you to confirm your signup. Only then do I send the newsletter: roughly once a month, new articles from InsideCX, insights from projects, news from the Lab, and offers and events from StreetSmart CX. The newsletter is in German.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time, via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by email. Your address is deleted after you unsubscribe. Squarespace may transfer data to the United States; Squarespace, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Squarespace’s privacy policy: squarespace.com/privacy.
9. LinkedIn
This website links to my LinkedIn profile and allows you to share posts there. No LinkedIn plugins are embedded; LinkedIn only receives data when you click one of these links. The provider is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. LinkedIn's privacy policy: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
10. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw consent you have given at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
Right to object: Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
For all of this, an email to info@streetsmartcx.com is sufficient. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); the competent authority is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
